Wednesday again already?

It rolls round too fast. Heres a sneaky peek at what went on yesterday at the studio:

Bird feeder dishes.

A menagerie of pet markers

Terriers, ducks and a random caterpillar

A collection of mini's

Wendys freshly made blooms
We will be at Te Kowhai school during their Garden Ramble this Saturday 10-2pm.  The mini Wenchies will be with us for some entertainment, come on down for a visit.

Wednesday at the studio

A busy Wednesday at the studio.  Plenty to make, plenty to paint, plenty of projects to finish...

Warm weather makes for gluggy paint.

How bout these little sweeties?

A group of rather phallic looking Mushroom stalks and caps requested by Garden Art Studio.

There is so much customer work to go through the kilns that gets precedence over ours.  Its a tricky time of year.

See you at Craftmad on Sunday 10-1pm at Rototuna school.

Fancy photos

Mum and I borrowed my brothers amazing camera and photographed some of our ceramics - we think the pics turned out great.  What do you think?

Sew- ee things

I made this 60 pocket wall hanging to replace the old one at Caseys kindy.  Its heavy denim with an appliqued label and loops to fit over the existing pole hanger. Easy in theory, hard going on my poor machine but it looks great.

With summer looming I made these shorts for Case from some soft drill with dinosaur patch pockets and cuff.  He loves them so much he said he wanted to wear them for one hundred days.  He has also requested some dog ones with front pockets.

I made this bag for my lovely friends 30th.  The pattern is from the book One Metre Wonders and it was super easy but SO CUTE.  The fabric is from spotlight with denim lining and cellphone/keys sized inner pockets.

A splash of spring

I made this cute ruffle skirt with the fabric I got at the Vintage Textile Fair.  I was a bit worried that it was too garish but I love the result with the sweet turquoise spot underneath.  Mimi says she loves it but the real test is whether it gets worn much.  I hope so, it will look super cute with a white singlet and sandals this summer.

And heres some spring loveliness:
Yellow and orange poppies, white ranunculus and a wee hellebore bloom

Tulips and a clematis waiting to be planted out

Forest Pansy blossom and dirty bird baths!
